Project Description: Implemented asbestos program for this project consisting of removal of asbestos and regulated materials (mercury, PCB’s, etc.) from a former Steam Plant (40,000 square feet) and 94 steam line valve vaults dispersed across the former base including occupied residential and commercial areas and varied in size and depth. Over 320 tons of asbestos and other regulated materials were removed. North Wind/NCES Project. NetCompliance successfully completed the full removal of asbestos and regulated materials (mercury, PCB’s, etc.) from the former Steam Plant and 96 steam vaults located all across the former base including occupied residential and commercial areas. A Total volume of asbestos and other regulated materials removed was 320 tons.
This projects had significant fall and safety hazards to consider when preplanning and preparing our site specific safety and fall protection plans. These plans were completed and put into action with a net result of zero (0) injuries or near misses. The clients (North Wind, US Army Corps, and Air Force) were extremely pleased with our performance and focus on safety.
